    Hi, I’m Natalie! I’m 26 and the heart behind Earth in Echo, a small, ethical slow-fashion ship shop. Every treasure I carry is handmade by wonderful families I’m proud to call my crew. Each piece reflects the raw beauty of regions from around the globe, so every step you take is imbued with a sense of worldliness and respect for artisanal traditions. I run Earth in Echo from my sailboat, Sol, and packing each item on the water infuses a little healing energy from the sea into every treasure. Sustainability is at the core of everything I do — I hope to inspire you to get your sea legs into slow fashion and live more mindfully. Living on the water, I witness first-hand the damage plastics and waste cause to our oceans and wildlife. My mission is simple: to tread lightly on our planet, share my love for slow fashion, and make a positive impact. Jewelry Care ♡

Handmade jewelry is one-of-a-kind. Please handle with care to keep it looking its best:

Avoid moisture & chemicals: Remove jewelry before showering, swimming, or applying perfume/lotions. This helps preserve metals and gemstones.

Remove before sleeping: Sleeping in jewelry can loosen settings or damage delicate pieces.

Patina & polishing: Natural darkening (patina) may occur on copper, brass, and sterling silver — this adds character! Gently polish with the included cloth to restore shine. Stainless steel and gold-filled pieces are water-safe and tarnish-resistant, but occasional polishing helps maintain brilliance.

Imperfections are part of handmade charm: Slight scratches, scuffs, or darkening is normal and not eligible for refunds or returns.

Treat each piece with care, and it will remain a treasure for years to come.

In efforts to lessen Earth in Echos carbon footprint, I do not accept returns. Please make conscious purchases and read why below: All Sales Are Final

•All items are handmade, one-of-a-kind, and unique. Minor variations in color, pattern, patchwork, tiedye, or size is normal and part of the charm. No item can be exactly replicated. 

•No returns or exchanges unless the wrong item was sent or it arrived damaged by manufacturing. You must contact me within 2 weeks of delivery- not months later. If your tracking info says delivered but it is not: please contact your post office and file a claim

For the Planet 🌎
  •Returns have a bigger impact than you might think. Each return often involves multiple trips by trucks, planes, or ships, which increases fuel use and greenhouse gas emissions — sometimes by up to 30% of the original delivery’s impact. Returns also generate extra packaging waste, even if the original packaging was recycled, contributing to landfills and pollution. Please consider your purchase carefully — every mindful choice helps protect our planet.

Item Variations & Fit
•Handmade garments may have a 1-3in size/measurement inconsistency due to handmade nature.

•Tie-dye, hand-stamped designs, patchwork, and hand-dyed fabrics may differ from photos. Please keep in mind hand made items may contain imperfections or contain colors not shown in product photos. This is to be expected, my crew are human not machines. Each piece is truly unique.

•No refunds/exchanges for items not fitting as expected or arriving with colors. Please read description carefully before purchase.

Flaws & Quality

•Handmade items may include minor imperfections (loose threads, pattern/color variations, small holes, fading). These are not considered flaws.

•Please inspect your order upon arrival and contact me within 24 hours if there is damage or a mistake on my end.

•Items damaged by the customer are not eligible for refunds or exchanges. Please handle ALL handmade items with CARE. I THOROUGHLY inspect each item to insure it is sent to you in the best condition. Clothing sold in my shop is hand made with love. Please treat them that way.

Shipping & Lost Packages

•Processing: 2–12 business days; US shipping: 3–8 business days; international: up to 1 month.

•Check your address carefully — I cannot change it after labels are printed.

•Once items are shipped, responsibility transfers to the postal service. For lost packages, please contact your post office and file a claim within 15 business days from delivery. A claim must be opened by the receiver in order to receive compensation: Every parcel is insured. For stolen items this is a federal crime- please check rounding cameras and file a police report.

Cancellations & Partial Refunds

•Orders can only be canceled before shipping labels are created. Any cancellations processed after that may incur a packing/material fee. If a package is returned to me, you will be asked to repay the shipping fee to ship back to your correct address. A 5% relisting fee and price of shipping will be deducted from your order if you want a refund.

•On rare occasions, inventory errors may occur. If a partial refund is issued, the remaining items will continue to ship. If you have received a partial refund email: This message is regarding a full refund for an item that is no longer available. The refund for said item/s will show through your original payment method

Sustainability & Returns

• Returns create extra transportation emissions and packaging waste. Mindful purchasing helps reduce your environmental footprint.

•Processing Time: Orders typically take 2–12 business days to prepare and ship. Orders placed around restock days may take an extra week due to high volume.

•Shipping Time: Once shipped, U.S. orders usually arrive within 8 business days. International orders can take 1 month or more due to customs.

•Order Confirmation & Tracking: You’ll receive an order confirmation email after purchase. Please check your spam or junk folder if you don’t see it. Tracking information is sent with every order.

•Worldwide Shipping: No matter where you are, I’ll do my best to get your order to you!

All Sales Are Final

Because each piece is unique, Earth in Echo does not accept returns, refunds, or exchanges. Please read descriptions and policies carefully before purchasing.

Pre-Loved Clothing

Pre-loved garments are final sale and cannot be returned.

Handmade & One-of-a-Kind

Many items are handmade using recycled silks, repurposed fabrics, patchwork, and hand-dyed fabrics (tie-dye, block print, etc.). Handmade items cannot be exactly replicated. Variations in color, tone, and pattern placement are part of the beauty of slow fashion and what makes each piece truly one-of-a-kind. Please understand items cannot be 100% exact to product photos.

Colors & Photos

Please keep in mind that colors may look slightly different in person due to lighting, dye saturation, handmade nature, and/or screen settings. If you’d like a close match for a set, I recommend ordering the pieces together.

Sizing

Descriptions include details on sizing, fabric, and model references. Since I can’t accept returns for fit, I encourage sharing, reselling, or donating pieces that don’t work out.

Flaws & Quality

Handmade items may have small quirks that add to their charm — things like loose threads, pattern/color variations, slight transparency, holes smaller than a dime, or minor fading. These are not considered flaws but a reflection of the handmade process. Every garment is carefully checked before shipping, and I only sell items I’d personally wear. If something seems off beyond what’s described here, please reach out within 24 hours of delivery through the contact form.

Inclusive Sizing

I do my best to stock adjustable, stretchy, and size-flexible styles, and I add plus-size options whenever possible. As Earth in Echo grows, expanding my size range is a priority — thank you so much for your patience and support🌸

Clothing Care

Care Instructions🐚

To keep your Earth in Echo pieces beautiful for years to come, please handle them with care:

  • Hand Wash Gently – Wash each item separately in cold water, especially for the first few washes, to prevent dyes from transferring.
  • Hang to Dry – Avoid dryers, as heat can cause fading, shrinking, or wear on delicate stitching.
  • Batch Washing – Once the water runs clear after a few washes, you may wash similar colors together (dark with dark, light with light).
  • Why Hand Wash? – Hand washing helps preserve the dyes, fabric strength, and stitching, protecting the life of your garment.

Remember: handmade clothing is both an investment in yourself and our planet — each piece is a treasure meant to be worn and cared for with love.

Duties/International Shipping

❓ Will I have to pay customs fees or taxes on my order?

Possibly. Earth in Echo is based in the United States and ships worldwide. Please review the following before placing your order.

🌎 For International Customers

When your parcel arrives to your country, it may be subject to customs duties, VAT, GST/HST, or other import taxes charged by your government. These fees are not included in prices or shipping costs and are the responsibility of the buyer. The below information is to be taken lightly is subject to change. Please ensure proper research is done before ordering.

By region:

U.S. Customers: No extra fees — your checkout price is final.

European Union (EU): VAT applies at your country’s standard rate; duties may apply on orders over €150.

United Kingdom (UK): 20% VAT applies on orders over £135; duties may also apply above this threshold.

Canada: GST/HST is charged at the provincial rate. As of 2025, duties can be unusually high — sometimes equal to the order value. Please review before purchasing, as these fees must be paid.

Australia & New Zealand: GST is typically 10% (Australia) or 15% (NZ); duties may apply on orders above the de minimis threshold.

Other Countries: Import rules vary. Please check with your local customs office before ordering.

• Earth in Echo does not collect or control duties, VAT, or GST/HST. They are determined by your local customs authority.

• Customers are responsible for paying any applicable fees upon delivery.

• Duties are mandatory and non-negotiable. Please research your country’s import requirements before ordering.

• Refusal to pay duties fees and/or failure to accept delivery may result in your parcel being returned or destroyed by customs. In these cases, refunds are not guaranteed.

• If a return is approved, a 5% re-listing fee plus shipping and/or duties charges will be deducted from your refund.

• If a delivery is missed and your parcel is returned, reshipping costs are the buyer’s responsibility. Please ensure you check your tracking info frequently

💌Please keep an eye on your packages tracking information, most international orders require you to be home to fulfill delivery. If the postal service cannot reach you- the parcel will be sent back to me.

📦 UPS & Other Couriers

For international UPS shipments: unpaid duties are billed back to me as the shipper for the parcel entering your country regardless if you ship the parcel back to me. In such cases, these charges — along with any return shipping — will be deducted from your refund. UPS Customs Guide

🌍 What’s the difference between VAT, Duties, and GST/HST?

VAT (Value Added Tax): Sales tax used in many countries (EU, UK). A percentage of your order value, collected by your government.

GST/HST (Goods & Services Tax / Harmonized Sales Tax): Similar to VAT, but used in places like Canada, Australia, and New Zealand.

Customs Duties (Import Duties): Border fees on certain products, based on the item type and value.
